When did you know you wanted to do hair?
Well my middle school friends would tell you too young. I have been creating looks from a very young age.
How long have you been doing color?
I have been coloring peoples lives for 8 years!
How would you describe your approach to doing hair color?
I like to inspire people to go for what inspires them. I love being that personal cheerleader to promote change. My approach has always simply been fashion forward. If we can't have fun with our hair, what can we have fun with?
What inspires your creativity?
Constantly being a student allows me to be creative. I like to get inside a persons head to see things as they see it. I love working with different hair textures . I like to manipulate hair, change it up. I think my role is to see what the daily habits are and push the envelope by helping each person try on a look they have never thought of for themselves.
What advice would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time?
Ask questions. (Even jot them down on a piece of paper before you come in for your visit.) I also will be curious and will have some questions for you. Questions are a healthy part of the first time coloring experience. Also be open to all the options color has to offer. Together we will find something that fits perfectly into your new look.
Do you customize a hair color service for each and every client?
Everytime!! If you think about it your hair has been changing everyday of your life. It is exciting to revisit your hair and fit you with a one in a million look. Every look, everytime is my philosophy.
What celebrity always has great hair?
Julia Roberts HANDS DOWN! And to respresent the men - would have to be Jude Law.
What's your approach to returning haircolor clients?
I ask a series of questions to evaluate where we are headed. For example, I like to ask if they want their hair to talk, shout, or scream that day. I like to treat everyone like a blank canvas everytime so I can let the ideas come naturally. I love to offer up new flavors and I also keep close documentation of each visit if we would like to revisit past favorites. I will have a color plan mapped out in our time together during our consultation so that we are in agreement for future color dates.
Describe your personal style:
I am a chameleon. A single person can never identify me by a single haircolor because I change up my looks frequently. My personal style is super feminine.
