When did you know you wanted to do hair?

I always had plenty of role models, my aunt does hair, and ran her own business which inspired me. I love the atmosphere of the salon, how the business works, and wanting to run a part of a successful business one day.

How long have you been doing color?

I've been doing color for 8 years.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair color?

I love the consultation part of hair color. Seeing what they have on their hair when they come in to the salon, or if it's what I had created last time they where in. Showing them new pictures that I have pulled, and putting them in a look book, depending on the season.

What inspires your creativity?

I like to look through new monthly magazines and create look books. Also, it helps going to Redken classes. I enjoy going to Vegas Symposium every two years and New York to learn the newest and latest trends.

What advice would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time?

That coloring hair is the best change that anyone could make to themselves. The variations of different looks they can have, how their eye color would pop and skin tone would look amazing.

Do you customize a hair color service for each and every client?

Of course, I might add something to their existing color formula, or change it completely. I believe no one has the same hair texture, so they all need their own style of color for their total look.

What's your approach to returning haircolor clients?

I look at their history, I like to keep a record in case they love the look, and we can update the color or add flashes of light or dark. I would see what has faded and use the correct formula to correct any issues they had to keep it fresh every time.

Describe your personal style:

I always look for the different styles and mix them all up. I like my style to be edgy but classic looking, fun, and stand out.
